This hot honey whipped feta dip is a must-have for your entertaining repertoire. Pair with veggies, pita, focaccia, crackers, naan or any other easy dipping vessel. Also makes a great appy to bring to a dinner party.
Ingredients
Whipped Feta Mixture
- 200g of Macedonian Feta
- 1/3 cup of plain yogurt
- zest of 1 lemon or lime (optional)
- 2 tablespoons of Bombini Olive Oil
Topping
- 3 tbsp wildflower honey
- 1 tsp of chilli flakes
- 1 tsp of lemon or lime juice
- Handful of parsley chopped (can sub other seasonal herbs)
Instructions
Make Hot Honey
- Combine honey, chili flakes and lemon juice or lime juice to a small pan.
- Heat until honey becomes more runny and starts to bubble.
- Remove the pan from the heat.
Make Whipped Feta
- Add feta to food processor with yogurt, olive oil and zest.
- Mix until smooth and creamy.
Plate and Serve
- Scoop feta onto serving plate or platter.
- Using the back of a spoon create a swirled pattern in the mixture.
- Pour hot honey over the mixture so it collects in the ridges of the swirl pattern.
- Top with chopped parsley.
