When strawberries are in peak season, it doesn't take much to show them off. Here is an easy chocolate covered strawberry recipe to make your day!
Ingredients:
- 2.5 lbs of whole strawberries with tops
- 300 grams of chocolate (milk or dark)
Instructions:
- Wash strawberries and dry them completely. You may want to set them out to dry for a bit as they need to be completely dry for chocolate to stick well to the strawberries.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment or waxed paper.
- Using a double boiler melt chocolate, stirring constantly.
- Take chocolate off heat, holding strawberry by the stem dip into melted chocolate letting the excess chocolate fall back into the pot.
- Place strawberry on parchment.
- One all strawberries are on the parchment chill in fridge until chocolate sets. 15-20 minutes.
- Take them strawberries out and place them in a bowl or tray. Do not leave in a warm place or in the sun as chocolate will melt.
