Peach Crumble is a comforting British dessert that rose to popularity during World War II, thanks to its simple ingredients and easy preparation. This classic dessert is just as beloved today—especially when served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
Ingredients for the Filling:
- 6 Large peaches sliced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- Juice of 1/2 a lemon
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
Ingredients for the Topping:
- 1/2 tsp of salt
- 1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- Vanilla ice cream for serving :)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375
- In a large bowl combine peaches, granulated sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
- In another bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, salt, and cinnamon. Mix, and pour melted butter in. Stir until mixture resembles coarse crumbles.
- Pour peaches and juices into a baking dish (11"x7"). Sprinkle crumb topping evenly over peaches.
- Bake until golden and peaches are bubbling. About 45-50 minutes.
- Serve warm with ice cream!
