This fresh juice is a simple and delicious way to boost your vitamin C intake during the winter months when our bodies need it most. Packed with oranges and carrots, it’s loaded with immune-supporting nutrients to help you stay healthy through cold and flu season. The ginger adds a spicy warmth that’s perfect for chilly days, but if you prefer a milder flavor, you can easily omit it or use a smaller piece.

Ingredients:

  • 4 large carrots, peeled and chopped
  • 2 oranges, peeled and segmented
  • 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled
  • 1-inch piece of fresh turmeric, peeled (or ½ teaspoon ground turmeric)
  • 1 cup cold water (for blending)
  • Optional: A squeeze of lemon juice or a drizzle of honey for extra brightness or sweetness

Instructions:

For Juicer Method:

  1. Feed the carrots, oranges, ginger, and turmeric through your juicer.
  2. Stir the juice to combine, taste, and adjust with a squeeze of lemon juice or honey if desired.
  3. Serve immediately over ice or chilled.

For Blender Method (No Juicer Required):

  1. Add the chopped carrots, orange segments, ginger, turmeric, and cold water to a high-speed blender. Blend on high until smooth.
  2. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve, nut milk bag, or cheesecloth into a large bowl, pressing to extract as much liquid as possible.
  3. Taste the juice and adjust with lemon juice or honey, if needed.
  4. Pour into a glass and enjoy!

Notes:

  • Make it your own: Add a pinch of black pepper to enhance turmeric absorption or a handful of ice cubes to keep it extra refreshing.
  • Storage: This juice is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours in a sealed jar or bottle.
